A songster is causal agent who writes the singing for songs, their musical work or line to songs, or both. That is to say, a ballad maker is often a author or a composer, or some. The linguistic unit 'songwriter' is however, more universally in use these days to draw one who writes favorite songs than to name a journalist of art songs.
Songwriters may themselves make the songs they write, or may pen for cause other to execute. People who intone songs graphical by themselves are nowadays, normally titled singer-songwriters.
